How many Passport windows does $260 cover?
Five panes: both rear door windows, the quarter windows behind them and the tailgate glass, in LLumar ATC from $260. Since that price was set for SUVs carrying as many as seven rear windows, expect the shop to confirm the Passport’s figure at the quote; IRX or AIR ceramic is priced per package.
| Passport job | Glass | From |
|---|---|---|
| SUV rear package, LLumar ATC | Rear doors, quarter windows, tailgate glass | $260 |
| IRX or AIR ceramic | The same five panes | Quoted per package |
| Panoramic moonroof | Roof glass | Quoted per vehicle |
| Front door windows | Driver’s and front passenger’s | $140, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield, from the inside | 1 | $200, top 75 mm legal only |
Honda Canada’s 2026 Passport specifications list rear privacy glass and a rear window defroster on all four trims, from the TrailSport to the TrailSport Touring Blackout. Power windows are listed for the front and second rows only, so the quarter windows stay fixed. The film is plotter-cut to the Passport pattern and carries a lifetime warranty on film and labour.
Why does the Passport’s passenger-side cargo window matter?
It holds the radio antenna. Honda’s 2026 Passport press kit says the antenna is “now integrated into the passenger side cargo window glass”, replacing the usual shark-fin aerial on the roof.
Film with metal in it is what can interfere with reception, and the shop’s three films have none: ATC is dyed, IRX and AIR are nano-ceramic. That pane is tinted like the rest. Whether window tint blocks cell or GPS signal explains the difference between film types. The same press kit notes the rear quarter and tailgate glass went from 3.1 mm to 4.0 mm thick for 2026, which changes nothing about how the film is fitted.
Is the panoramic moonroof on every Passport?
In Canada, yes. Honda Canada lists a one-touch power panoramic moonroof with power sunshade on all four 2026 trims, and the two TrailSport Touring trims add integrated second-row sunshades.
Roof glass sits outside the rear package and is priced on its own. If the back seat runs hot in summer, ask for the roof and side glass in one quote; the sunroof tint page explains how roof film is measured.
What does Honda say about film near the Passport’s camera?
Keep it out of the camera’s view. The 2026 Passport owner’s manual places the front sensor camera behind the rearview mirror and says: “Never apply a film or attach any objects to the windshield, the hood, or the front grille that could obstruct the camera’s field of vision.” The press kit adds that the 2026 camera sees a 90-degree field, up from 50 degrees on the 2025 model.
BC limits windshield film to the top 75 mm in any case. Read windshield tint with an ADAS camera before asking for even a strip.
Can the Passport Touring’s acoustic front doors be tinted in BC?
Not legally. Honda Canada lists acoustic laminate glass for the windshield on the TrailSport and TrailSport Blackout and for the “windshield, front” on the two Touring trims, and either way the front doors flank the driver and passenger, where MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows no film at all.
Behind the driver, any shade is legal, and the tailgate glass qualifies because the Passport has outside mirrors on both sides. The shop fits the $140 front-door job only on request, after explaining that a ticket typically costs $109 according to Mission RCMP and that police can order the film removed. Front-door tint and BC law covers inspections and fines.
How do you book Passport tint in Langley?
A Passport quote needs only the model year, the trim and your film choice, plus a yes or no on the roof, since every 2026 version carries the same panoramic moonroof. Most SUVs take two to four hours and leave the same day, then keep their windows up for three to five days.
