How are Model X PPF packages priced?
Each package has a published floor: $850, $1,550, $1,900, $4,000. A Model X takes more film than a compact car, so it’s measured and quoted on its own.
| Package | From | Coverage on a Model X |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Bumper face, headlights, mirrors, and the first stretch of hood and fenders |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Hood and both front fenders whole, with the bumper, lamps and mirror housings |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front plus the A-pillars, a band at the front of the roof, and the sills |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Paint everywhere, falcon wing doors too, with the headlights |
Light scratches in Platinum close up with heat. LLumar’s limited warranty on it lasts 10 years, and the shop describes it as covering cracking, peeling, yellowing and bubbling. Time in the shop scales with coverage: about one day for the smallest package, one to two days for the middle two, and three to five for the whole SUV. Full front versus full body film weighs the two ends of the range.
How does film work around the falcon wing doors?
Only by choice, and only after you know what Tesla says. The falcon wing doors are covered by the Full Vehicle package and nothing smaller, and they use ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles.
Tesla’s falcon door ultrasonic diagnosis, written for doors that falsely report objects, has the technician:
- inspect the rear door’s exterior paint for damage, signs of body repairs, paint modifications or third-party vinyl wrap
- recommend reverting a modified paint surface, noting that Tesla doesn’t support third-party paint modifications
- stop and recommend removing a wrap if one is installed and both doors are misreporting
Clear PPF isn’t named in that procedure, and no Tesla statement on it turned up. Leaving the doors out of the job is a simple option; including them is a decision to make knowingly, so bring it up when you request a price.
Where are the Model X front sensors?
In the bumper face, on cars with them. Tesla’s HW3 front fascia procedure unplugs four front ultrasonic sensors, each released from the fascia by two tabs, along with the fog lights, a pedestrian warning speaker and a Bluetooth module. The pattern leaves every sensor face open.
The manual’s contents list a separate HW4 front fascia and 2025+ fascia parts as well, so tell the shop your year and hardware. If the bumper’s shape makes a relief cut unavoidable, its position is pointed out to you first.
Which Model X panels take the most grit?
The nose first, then the low body behind the front tires. On main highways, TranBC keeps winter abrasive at 9.5 mm or smaller and names “windshield chips and paint dings” among its effects, so the bumper, hood edge and mirrors take the first strikes.
Tesla’s manual adds a detail about that lower body. Its mud flap retrofit for the 2021+ Model X fits flaps at the front wheels only, clipped to the wheel liner and rocker cover. Flaps catch some of what the front tires throw; the Track Package puts film on the rocker panels themselves. The Fraser Valley rock chip guide covers winter grit on local roads.
How do you book Model X PPF in Langley?
Include the year, trim, paint colour and hardware version if known, and say whether you want the falcon wing doors included. Mention any mud flaps already fitted. Film goes onto paint that has been decontaminated and, if it needs it, corrected.
Hold off washing for a week. After seven days, wash by hand or touchless, holding the pressure wand clear of film edges. The PPF aftercare guide has the full routine, and coating over the film later is covered under Model X ceramic coating.
