What do the PPF packages cost on a Model S?
Each of the four LLumar Platinum packages has a starting price: $850, $1,550, $1,900 or $4,000. The final figure for a Model S depends on its bumper pattern, how much film the panels take and what the paint needs before film goes on.
| Package | From | Where the film goes on a Model S |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Whole bumper, the leading edge of hood and fenders, headlights and mirror caps |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Hood and front fenders back to their shut lines, with the bumper, lamps and mirror shells |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front coverage, then the A-pillars, some roof and the rocker panels |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | All the paint, rear quarters among it, and the headlights |
The film is self-healing Platinum; LLumar’s limited warranty on it runs 10 years, and the shop’s own terms list peeling, bubbling, yellowing or cracking as covered. A Partial Front is usually a one-day job, Full Front and Track take one to two days, and Full Vehicle needs three to five. The PPF cost page explains what moves a quote up or down.
What does Tesla’s own quarter-panel film tell you?
That Tesla treats the lower rear quarters of the Model S as worth filming. The 2021 and later service manual carries a procedure called Paint Protection Film - Quarter Panels (Retrofit), and it reads like a small PPF install:
- The rear wheel comes off and the wheel arch liner is moved aside.
- The panel is washed and soaked with slip solution.
- The film goes on parallel to the rocker body line, wrapping about 10 mm onto the body ahead of the panel and 15 mm behind it.
- The liner and wheel go back on, and the car isn’t washed for 24 hours.
Tesla adds a caution: don’t run the film over the rocker body line, because it won’t cure properly there. None of the shop’s front packages reaches the rear quarters, so if you want that area covered, ask for it to be priced alongside your front package, or choose Full Vehicle. If Tesla’s film is already on the car, say so when you ask. The factory versus aftermarket PPF comparison looks at the trade-offs, and rocker panel film covers the sills ahead of that area.
How is film cut around the Model S front sensors?
Around them, and the bumper pattern depends on the car’s hardware. Tesla’s HW3 front fascia procedure unplugs six front parking sensors and notes that the outer two, S1 and S6, differ from the four between them. The HW4 procedure lists front fog lights, a Bluetooth module and a pedestrian warning speaker, but no parking sensors.
The manual’s contents also list separate 2025+ fascia, grille and diffuser parts, so a newer Model S may not share an older car’s nose. Where sensors are fitted, each face stays open and the film is trimmed around it. Where a curve forces a relief cut in the bumper film, the shop shows you where before that piece goes on.
Which coverage suits a Model S on Fraser Valley roads?
For regular highway driving, Full Front or more. TranBC allows winter abrasive pieces up to 9.5 mm on main highways and notes that impact energy nearly doubles when speed climbs from 80 to 110 km/h. With only a Partial Front, the uncovered rear of the hood and fenders meets that grit unprotected.
The Track Package adds the rockers, the low surfaces right behind the front tires. Drivers who mostly stay in town can start with a Partial Front. Coverage for Highway 1 commuters works through the choice in more detail.
How do you book Model S PPF in Langley?
Start with the model year, trim and paint colour and, if you know it, whether the car is HW3 or HW4. Mention any film already on the rear quarters. Before any film, the paint is decontaminated and, if the inspection shows a need, corrected; anything left under the film stays there.
Plan on a week before the first wash, then follow washing a car with PPF. A coating, if you want one, comes after the film; Model S ceramic coating explains that step. Prices come through the PPF quote form, and 604 534 6433 takes calls and texts.
